Frozen Reflection

Frozen Reflection

NLH-Space, 2011, Copenhagen
Site-specific work
Print on transparent textile

When invited to exhibit in NLH-space, the artist works within the concept of the exhibition space: that the exhibitions are always closed, but always accessible from the street.
Short time before the exhibition took place, the reflection in the window was photographed.
The image of the reflection hovering inside the gallery represents a frozen moment in time and space. At the same time the image refers to the “real” reflection in the window that the viewer is gazing through. Thus the window is used to comment on the difference of time inside and outside the institution.
